Our Seminarians
The Seminarians of the Apostolic Vicariate of Soddo represent the hope and future of our local Church. These young men have courageously answered God's call to the priesthood and are currently undergoing spiritual, academic, and pastoral formation in preparation for a life of dedicated service. Coming from different parishes and cultural backgrounds across Southern Ethiopia, our seminarians bring with them a deep love for Christ, a desire to serve the people of God, and a readiness to grow in discipleship. Their journey is one of prayer, study, discernment, and community living—guided by formators who help shape their hearts, minds, and spirits for priestly ministry.
Formation takes place in various seminaries both within Ethiopia and abroad, covering philosophy, theology, and hands-on pastoral experiences. It is a time of deep transformation and commitment, helping each seminarian to understand more fully the joys and responsibilities of priesthood. This page offers a glimpse into the lives of our seminarians—their names, stories, and formation stages—as we accompany them with our prayers and encouragement. By supporting them, we are investing in the future shepherds of our Vicariate, who will one day lead, teach, and sanctify in the name of Christ.
